ABOUT ME

Hi, welcome to my portfolio! My name is Jay, and I have always had passion for technology and personal growth. My professional journey has been versatile, starting with rewarding experiences as a Longshoreman and working with United Airlines. However, I soon realized that I wanted more challenges and personal development. That's why I made the decision to return to school and pursue a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.

Alongside my formal education, I've taken the initiative to self-study programming through online platforms like Freecodecamp.org and Codegym.cc. This has equipped me with practical skills in HTML, CSS, and Java. As a lifelong learner, I am always seeking new opportunities to enhance my skills and contribute to collaborative teams.

This work in progress was created for personal use in my pursuit of learning C# and the Unity Engine. It's a tactical game where you must choose the correct units to overcome your enemy. As your coffers fill, buy units to fight back in this clash between Humans and Orcs. Your mission? Decimate the enemy's Great Hall.

As a beginner project in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, I took on the challenge of creating a fun two player game from scratch. I created a 3x3 grid with a Stranger Things backdrop. The game incorporates essential web development concepts like Grid CSS and Flexbox for effective element organization. With player turns indicated through a custom-designed walkie-talkie interface, you can immerse yourself in the world of Stranger Things.
